KAHERAH – Sekurang-kurangnya 73 mati dalam pergaduhan membabitkan peminat bola sepak di bandar Pelabuhan Said, Mesir, demikian menurut laporan stesen-stesen tempatan semalam.

Sekurang-kurangnya 1,000 lagi cedera apabila peminat bola sepak, kebanyakannya membawa senjata termasuk pisau – merusuh dan menceroboh kawasan padang di akhir perlawanan antara kelab atasan al-Masry dan al-Ahly.Pegawai-pegawai berkata, angka kematian kemungkinan meningkat, lapor BBC.

Ia tragedi paling teruk dalam sejarah bola sepak, kata Timbalan Menteri Kesihatan Mesir, Hesham Sheiha.”Ini sesuatu yang malang dan sangat menyedihkan,” kata  Hesham.
