“Tahniah saya ucapkan kepada pasukan bola sepak Malaysia yang baru sahaja memenangi pingat emas di Sukan Sea dalam aksi final yang mendebarkan sebentar tadi.
“Semoga pasukan bola sepak negara terus mengukir kecemerlangan,” ujarnya yang juga Menteri Besar Kelantan menerusi twitter.
Pasukan kebangsaan menewaskan Indonesia 4-3 menerusi tendangan penalti selepas terikat 1-1 dalam masa 120 minit pada perlawanan akhir di Stadium Gelora Bung Karno, Jakarta.
Pasukan tuan rumah mendahului 1-0 apabila Gunawan menanduk masuk pada minit kelima manakala Malaysia menyamakan kedudukan menerusi tandukan Asrarudin Putra setengah jam kemudian. -Hrkh
